House of Magic

Once upon a time... there was a very special house... some would call it a magical house. This house was nestled in a very small town far away from any city. And as quaint houses in small towns go... normal quaint families live in those small houses... in the small towns. This particular house in this small town was different than those surrounding it. This house held a secret that decided to unleash its magical powers on a family not from this small town. Two years ago this house gave a glimpse of its wisdom and charity in the form of a small milestone in a young boy. In present day the house has awakened to share its gifts yet again...

Ok... enough of the fluffer nutter. Almost 2 years ago Shawn took his first steps in my friend Lindsey's house. Cool, right? First steps in a friends house... ok. Well, fast forward to Landon and his milestones. Little Munch-a-kin decided to stand on his own for the first time in said house a few months ago. THEN today Landon did another first... he said "DADA" for the first time in Lindsey's house! Landon has been a stubborn one with his vocabulary... Mama was a first word... NaNa a second (yes, Nanny was one proud peacock!) So finally, when all hope was lost that Dada would be among any first words... the Magical House O' Lindsey swept a magic wand over my lil one... and "DaDa" came to be!

Oh yea... the house gave Landon his 1st Popsicle too... Naughty house... Mommy wasn't ready for 1st Popsicles!

The MOMENT before and after "Dada" was first said! (Oh, and this house is kind to me in allowing me to capture firsts on film! Shawn's first steps were... and this "DaDa" event.)

No shoes. No shirt. No service.

You know those quacky shirts that every Mom HATES that say "That's it, I'm going to Grama's!"? Well, I think if Shawn could make his own shirt it would say "That's it, I'm going to Aunt Lizzy & Uncle John's!"

Tonight Stef and I took Shawn for a walk over to his Auntie and Uncle's house to play some ball and hone in on those bubble making skills.

Aunt Stef teaching the art of bubble blowing.

The curls are back! The curls are back! No hair cuts for this kiddo for a while... I am beyond thrilled to see those ringlets back on Shawn's adorable head.

Making friends with Asha.

Sucking... not working so well in producing those fun round delights.

Here Baby Delilah, this is a wand!

Stef meeting Delilah.

Ahhh... Success!

"Uncle John showing me the ropes."

Aunt "Gizzy" taking a turn.

Here Asha... you give it a try!

Mommy had to give Shawn a stern talking to about this doggie biscuit. "For Puppies Only Shawn!"

Catch!

Bigggg Yawns!

Delilah loving Stef's long locks. Shawn always did too when he was a wee one.

Very in love with his Auntie, Uncle, and future sister-in-law. (Yea, I know that sounds weird... but hey, we're not blood related... just sisters by heart.)

Lesson from Shawn: Delilah, when your MaMa and DaDa annoy you all day long by asking to see those toothums... Here's whatcha gotta do!"

Kisses for a sweet girl.

Aunt Stef and Shawn... awesome buddies! She's going to make one heck of a mom someday!

I told Shawn that it was soon time to go because Baby Delilah had to go to bed and he reacted with "Shawn needs to get to bed soon too!" That's my boy!

Crazy Crazies.

I made the mess. I clean it up.

Uncle John picked a flower for me!

Run Run as fast as you can... can't catch me... I'm THE ROCKSTAR MAN!

Rock Star!

He's prepared... He's pumped... He's ready to Rock 'n Roll!

This little Rock Star in training was hammin' it up for Mom and Dad this afternoon. We just might have a future rocker on our hands after all ;)

"I..iiiii... wannnna rock and roll allllll nigghhhhttttt..."
