No Rush

Its only January... not even a full month since Christmas. Yet it seems more like three months since the holidays! Cold, ice, indoors, oh my! It is way too early for me to have the winter blahs. But alas, I do. Not that I want to rush the time. Trust me, its going too quickly with how fast the boys are growing. However, I am longing for trees splashed in green, grass between my toes, and sweet sounds of hot summer nights. Ok ok, back to reality. Its frigid out and my car is in desperate need of a washing but if I run it through I may not get out until spring thaw. Just a few more months... just a few.

One Little Word

There is one word that has the ability to tug at my heart strings.

There is one word that has the strength to warm me to the core.

There is one word... a first word...

MaMa.

(Yes, Landon, my precious little red head, my youngest son said his first word, and it was "MaMa!")

This combined with Shawn's 2nd P.P.O.T.P today has made me one extremely proud Mommy!

P.P.O.T.P!

"Beware of the yellow snow."

This saying need not apply today. There was indeed snow. There was indeed "yellow."

Shawn had a spectacular time sled riding today with MeMe, Mommy, and Gunkle Bike (the spectator.) The snow was the perfect consistency for a fun filled down hill free fall.

And where was this yellow, you ask? And what does P.P.O.T.P stand for? Yellow stands for pee.

Pee Pee on the Potty! Yes! My little boy is a big boy now... he finally pee'd on the potty!!! Tonight he decided to escape from his pajama changing station and ran freely around the house (by freely I mean nude.) I decided to try, yet again, with the small bribe of a lonely M&M. Sure enough, Shawn wanted that M & M so badly he gave it up and pee'd! My little stinker knows what he's doing and he knows exactly whats going on with this here potty training business. He's just giving us a little run for our money ;)

Pappy & Shawn playing with Noah's animals.

Making those cutie patootie faces!

This snow stuff is pretty cool, huh Mom?

Gunkle Bike showing me the ropes of "snow walking."

Beautiful Winter Wonderland.

My 1st snow angel!

We don't believe this was MeMe's 1st snow angel ;)

And dowwwwn we gooooo!

These two were such a hoot hitting that dip at the bottom of the hill.

My little snow bunny.

Shawn likened the trip down the hill to the Flume ride.

Shawn=Thrilled. MeMe=Thriller.

Oh the faces we make! My mother amazed me today. Her agility... Her grace... Her face! Look how much fun good ol' MeMe was having in the snow. I still wonder who had the most fun, Shawn or his MeMe.

Landon needed a nap just thinking about all that sled riding going on outside.
This neat little guy was perched up on a wheelbarrow outside my grandparents basement window. Of course I had to grab the nifty zoom lens and try getting a few shots of this amazing creature through the window.

Peek-a-boo... there he is!

Landon, my little boy sitting on his own.

Bonding time with MeMe.

MeMe mimicking Landon's facial expression.

Nanny & Me

She thinks I'm pretty special ;)

"And I think she should give thumb sucking a try!"

Shawn making MeMe laugh... almost too hard!

Buddies... Pals... The Grand.

After a long day... sled riding... snow eating... angel making... Shawn and Peeps curl up for a little rest. And a few minutes after this picture was taken... Shawn made his great potty debut!

Date Night

A fun Friday night PLAY date with Shawn, Landon, & Delilah. The babes are such a hoot 'n holler to watch interact with each other. I have a feeling these two will be best of friends for a LONG time :) And Shawn... such a sweetheart to the wee ones!

Little Gentleman & Little Lady

Landon finds his "girlfriend" very entertaining. Delilah was showing off her new found skill... rolling over!

Mr. Excitable!

Daddy time!

Diaper duty.

"Every time we're together that black thing with flashing lights is shoved in our faces!"

Already getting the lip out to get her way ;) Poor Landon is in t-r-o-u-b-l-e!
