Puzzle Pieces & Headlocks

You would never know, by the photos below, that just minutes beforehand I walked into the living room to find Shawn and Landon on the couch... Landon in a headlock... Shawn's hair in Landon's firm grasp... both bawling.... over Landon taking a piece of Shawn's puzzle.

Siblings!

My Two Sweethearts

The "Sorry Brother" Apologies

Boys will be boys!

Too sweet...

Monkey Man is climbing furniture... Shawn didn't start doing this until he was more steady getting up and down from things... this is a whole new ball game for me.

I turn around... and up on the chair he is.

365 & Counting

If anyone can guess what tomorrow is... well... no one will guess what tomorrow is because its something small in and of itself... but grand to me. Tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary that The Rawlings Family blog was started! One year ago I decided to blog the adventures of myself, my husband, and our two amazing sons. Along with photos and stories, it is here that I have journaled our lives for the past 365 days.

Looking back over the many blogs (well, skimming because it would take me another whole year to read them) it puts a huge smile in my heart. All of the firsts, milestones, family, and friends that complete our lives. Landon's 1st holidays, Shawn learning to spell, painting/drawing/playdoughing obsessions, Daddy of the year moments, Our 1st trip to knoebles as a family, Delilah, Connor, and Lexie's births, the ever growing photography business, 1st crawls & steps from Landon, potty training Shawn (PPOTP... still working on the #2 though), Landon & Delilah's love blossoming, Shawn now has what he calls his "Best Friend" Owen (even though Lindsey and I knew they would be best friends.)... we have had many visits from family both near and far... and one of the biggest... our move to our new house!... then along came Canon... and we are a family of four + one pupster... a family so blessed with love and appreciation for our time together.

I could not ask for more.

No grand photo shoot to share this evening... just some odds and ends off my point and shoot that I stuck on the computer tonight. But ya know, some of the greatest memories are captured from these "odds and ends" things ;)

You've seen The Mess Maker in action... now see what happens afterward.

This was a huge 1st for Shawn. He was actually carried from the car into a restaurant like this... not waking up... just wanting to remain in slumberland.

Aunt Tearsa's attempt at a wake up call.

Believe it or not, he styled this himself!

100% Pure Amazingly Handsome BOY!

A boy and his pup... sandbox digging fun.

Canon getting into it!

Our sweet and naughty (kinda like sweet and sour sauce hehe) Mutton Button.

Who could get mad at this face for making such a mess?

We're still trying to figure out what he was in search of.

Tuckered out.

Should we have named him Marley?

Walkie Talkie

After a short 3 week stay at the House O' Rawlings... Aunt Tearsa has left the building... and headed back to college. We had a wonderful time while she was here and it was terribly sad to see her go... but only 4 miles separate us now... and we look forward to our dinner planned to meet the infamous Bailey!
