Shawn, three years ago our worlds were flipped around into this whirlwind adventure called parenthood. Never could I have imagined how much of my heart you would steal when they placed you into my arms. For the past three years you have amazed me more than I ever thought anyone could... with your intelligence, compassion, wit, and energy... you force me to be one step ahead, not of "the" game... but "your" game. Learning to walk, talk, and we can't forget your numbers and letters so early on... now you are reading words! Watching you grow into this little person with his own thoughts and ways of figuring this out has been the greatest blessing. You have made us proud since the moment you arrived... and continue to do so daily. Shawn, you have brought something into our lives that we never knew was missing... We love you with all our hearts, baby. Always!

Remember viewfinders? I didn't know they were still around until I happened into that section of the toy aisle a while back.
Following the route Mommy started on?... Future Marine Biologist... maybe one day he'll be swimming with the whales (gosh, I forgot how much effort I put into that "dream") ;)
The sea life figurines are so neat! They have all different groups of animals and insects to collect.
Chompy & Chompy (The alligator I got him in A.C. yesterday... and yes, that is really his name... a nickname of Landon's.)

I asked him to give Chompy a kiss... well boy he got it!
He missed me so much yesterday that he was glued to my hip today!

One of the only smiles we got at Friendly's... poor baby wasn't feeling well. He didn't eat more than 2 bites of food and can you believe he didn't touch a single sprinkle of ice cream? :(

And Mr. Monkey Man was a total clown at dinner.

Shawn's surprise for the day was going to the pool with Mommy, Aunt Lizzy, Uncle John, and Delilah. We dropped Landon off at Nan and Peep's for some grandparent time... Unfortunately we weren't there long. I knew Shawn wasn't feeling up to it when THE DOLPHIN said "Can I have my towel? I want to go home." He was so excited to go and really perked up before hand :(

Delilah's 1st Pool Experience... poor girl... not a water fan just yet.
Ready to head for home... and Mommy called the Dr... Everything looked fine... but he's still not feeling 100%.
When he's back to normal we'll try this again (and have more fun!)

I felt so bad for the lil guy at the pool :-( Hopefully next time he'll be feeling a ok & ready to swim, swim, swim!!

Happy Birthday Shawn Uncle Cody and I love you from the bottom of our hearts. We are so lucky to have a nephew like you. Your so smart and fun to be around. We cant wait to take you to get two more fish for your tank. Love you so much.
