Hall & Oats

Slow down, slow down, slow down! Time that is.

The past few days have been nonstop going... and truthfully I just want to lay down with my wonderful husband and precious boys and cuddle the day away! Alas, work, chores, and day to day demands just are not going to allow for that until... well, maybe Friday.

It all started with a snow day... WHAT?! Snow... already? Yes... fluffy white stuff covered the ground even before Halloween. Poor Shawn was confused thinking it was time to put up the Christmas Tree! To celebrate the weather conditions we watched our 1st Christmas movie of the season: "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas." Ok, ok... I admit Christmas is on my mind and I am SOOO ready to get into the "holiday spirit."

Saturday morning (like 1:30am) our favoritest Uncle Cody & Aunt Lynda made their way up here to visit their favorite nephews! It had been too long (and too short of a visit.) Our relationship with these two is nothing short of wonderful. To be close to your brother-in-law/sister-in-law like this... knowing that some day these two are going to have kiddos that our kiddos will be close with... its such great feeling of FAMILY! Jon and Cody are beyond lucky to have this brother bond that just grows and grows.

Sunday the kiddos and I headed North (far far North) to MeMe & Pappy's house in bear country. I must say, as much as that drive stinks... it sure was beautiful scenery with the fall foliage varying in color at every turn. The kiddos enjoyed themselves with all the activity that surrounded them, but were happy to get home to their own beds... and toys.

"I kissed a girl...."
GET THAT SONG OUT OF YOUR HEAD! I seriously debated posting this... but the humor behind this moment was too good not to share. Dear, Dear Jon caught this moment as he was taking a few pics of Lynda and I. We both leaned in at the EXACT same time to kiss each other on the cheek... and OOOOOOPPS!!!! You can tell by the looks on our faces at the end that we were stunned at what just happened! Needless to say this was something that none of us will EVER forget!

This is what we MEANT to do!!!

What visit would be complete without a new adventure?

That just put a smile on my face. We had such a great time with you all. WE will not make it that long in between visits again. The kiss was something to remember. And the look on Jon's face was too. Cant believe how close you, Jon, Cody, and I have gotten in just a year. WE love how we are so close. What are family for. We love the boys so much. Glad to see you had fun at your moms. Love you all so very much. YOu have some really great pictures on here.

Having my family away for 2 days was terrible. They had fun and i'm glad, but it was a long, long 2 days.
I am a very lucky man to have my little brother and his girlfriend so close to us in distance and relationship. My boys love them so much and they have so much fun with them. As for the picture, being the one who took it, I had just realized 2 seconds before it happened, that if you hold down the picture taking button...lo and behold, it just snaps them automatically...like 3 a second....

What a time to figure that out!!
