Double Mint Gum?

Double Trouble. Yes, that is what Shawn and Owen are. These two "The World Revolves Around Me and Only Me" three year olds are not only a hand full while together... but hilarious as well. We spent the day over at Aunt Lindsey's house (in the cool AC and out of this... where did it come from... humidity!) During our visit we had a scary incident with Shawn... we have discovered that he is... well... very allergic to cats :( I don't have the energy to rehash the details on here tonight... but he had a reaction and is ok now (thanks to Lindsey's quick thinking with Benedryl and calling the Dr.)

A few pictures from the very nice highlights of the day: Thanks again for having us over for a play date and dinner, Lindsey!!!

My Loves.

Mama's Boy
(wearing this awesome shirt from Uncle Cody & Aunt Lynda!)

I love you two so much... you light up my life... and make my heart smile. Always.

This is what a room looks like after Owen and my two mischief makers get done with it! Ah ha hahaha!

Bottle Babe... this thing is going bye byes very soon, Mr.

The Double Troubles.

Entertainment provided by: Riley! The boys just love her!

Landon insisted that since he thinks his thumb is the best thing in the world, so will Connor.
Yea, not the case. He made Connor scream... on multiple occasions. Oops!

And since Mommy loves these kisses so... that means Connor must too.
Eh... WRONG.

The culprit of tonight's incident: Bella. Poor kitty is so sweet and Shawn just loved her. I feel so bad for him since he loves cats so much.

Pillow Talk

The unpacking is still "coming along." Man, where in the world did we fit all this stuff?!?! Jon is bringing the final load tonight... and then that is it. This next week I'll finish up the unpacking in the house (Jon gets to work on the garage and basement.) I keep telling myself... "It will all get done in due time... It will all get done."

On to the fun stuff! My precious little Monkey has been enjoying himself surrounded by pillows snuggling and free-falling in them. This is quite the sight to see as he is all "toothy grins" and giggles. A few new things in Monkey's life... he is refusing baby food and demanding whatever Mommy, Daddy, & Shawn are eating. Shawn was so easy to transition from certain things... beds, food, binkie, bottle. Landon is a completely different story. His view on change is "who needs it." Shawn's was more of a "bring it on" approach. Milk has also been introduced to lil monk's diet... the verdict is still out on that one ;)

Shawn... Shawn... Shawn. What can I say other than this kid amazes me every single (not day) but second. His spelling list is up past where I can even fathom. The other day he had his drawing tablet on the floor and when he opened it he spelled MeMe... of course I ripped that out right away and sent it along to my mom.

Mommy: Landon, smile for the camera, baby.
Landon: Ahhhhhh!

Landon meeting "The Girl Next Door." Our neighbor's granddaughter, Hailey. They are exactly two months apart and Landon was wondering why this chick was walking all over the place.

Pillow Power!

This kid just melts my heart... and the fact that he is a serious Mama's boy doesn't bother me one bit ;)

Snuggles.

UN-packing

I take the "sigh. breath." statement back. Uh hum... yea, still so much more unpacking to do. There comes a point where I think "Ah, I'm all finished. The only boxes left are storage things for the garage." Then along comes Jon with a van full for me to unpack and put away. I seriously wonder where in the world we put all of this stuff!

The past few days we have had two sets of very special visitors. On Friday the Williams family came over for a visit... then on Saturday the Wolfgang family. We enjoyed giving the Grand Ol' Tour and spending some "down time" with friends.

Drum Stars (and Yes, Mommy/Auntie does love them... very much!)

Shawn's new obsession... feeding his pond fish!

Beautiful July day... and the babes not wanting their feet (or bums) t0 touch the grass.

Scrub a dub dub... three babes in the tub.
Landon's 1st Milk Bottle.

Riley, Shawn, & Owen.
I still can't believe how big the boys are getting. It seems like just yesterday that Owen was crawling over and plopping himself down on Shawn's lap as wee wittle ones :)
Thank you again so much Lindsey for that amazing recipe book. I love it soooo much! And everything else :)

Besties

And a VERY special visitor today: Aunt Tearsa. She helped to keep the boys in line while Mommy and Daddy were unpacking. Shawn and his Auntie had tons of bonding time working on a scrapbook kiddie set from Tearsa.

New Beginnings.

Sigh. Deep breath.

We're pretty much all moved in to our new house. Can I say... finally?! After a very long week starting last Thursday of painting, moving, and unpacking we have most of the house set up and its starting to feel like home. There are a few odds and ends left at the old house... Landon's bedroom... and a few odd boxes that still need put away... but its slowing down and we are able to enjoy our new, beautiful home.

Jon and I are in love with it here. It is quiet... the house is amazing.... Shawn is so excited about his new house... and even Landon is adjusting rather well. Our first night here Shawn did amazing in his new big bed. Landon had a rough few hours adjusting to a new room, but after that first night he's been doing wonderfully.

One thing that I was sad about leaving our old house was all of the firsts. We brought both boys home from the hospital there... all their milestones... memories... were at that house. Just as I was feeling this way Landon decided to make the situation all better... Yes, my little red walked yesterday... in his new home!!! And to make matters even better... Nan and Peeps were here to witness it too!

I also wanted to take another opportunity tonight to thank our amazing family and friends who have helped out through this entire moving journey. A special thank you to Peeps for taking an entire week off of work to come down here to lay flooring and work on odds and ends to get things ready for the move. And a huge thank you to Nan for practically living here this week helping out with the kiddos. They love having you here... and Shawn even said it today "Nanny, I love you!" None of this could have been done so quickly and beautifully without your help.

Without further ado... a few pictures of our new home!

The 1st day... Shawn was so excited he could hardly contain himself!

Checking out the back porch.

Shawn's smiley face drawing... and spelling out various words. Then a big helper cleaning up the kitchen floor. This kid is like Mommy with the cleaning obsession :)

And this kid is like Daddy with the mess factor!!!

Forth

Happy 4th of July everyone! While our holiday wasn't spent exactly as we had hoped... it was still one that was wonderful. Nanny came down to spend the entire day with her grandbabes while I painted and helped Peeps at our new house. Jon spent the morning with the kiddos and then had to work. Through all the hectic times we kept in touch via phone to check up on how everyone was doing.

Nanny enjoyed every second of her day with the boys. They had all sorts of little adventures here at home. Things at the new house are coming along quite well. It has been 3 strait days of painting (12 1/2 hrs the 1st day, 14 hours the 2nd, and about 10 today!) and my hands and feet are beyond ouchie! The end result is all worth this though... showing the kiddos the new house and moving everything in!

None of this "painting & moving" business would be possible without the gracious help of some dear friends and family. My family has come to our rescue to help with painting, babysitting, and floor laying. Jon's family in Idaho has been there giving Jon some awesome advice for certain projects. Cody & Lynda are coming up in a few days to help out and spend the night in our new home! Last but not least... some awesome friends... Stef, Liz & John, Audra, Lindsey (and Tearsa gets counted as friends/family.) Thank you all soooo much for donating your time and talents to helping us get things wrapped up. We know we are very fortunate to have such an amazing group of friends and family willing to help us out with our new adventure! Thank you, thank you, thank you all!!!

The past two nights I have felt so guilty missing the boys bedtime. Tonight I made sure to get home before hand to tuck my sweet little guys in. When I went out in the kitchen a large black case caught my eye... "Oh my gosh I haven't touched my camera in like three days!!!" With it being 4th of July I had to snap a few shots before the kiddos went up for the night.

***Our internet will be down for a few days during our big move... we'll be sure to update when we are back online!***

Aunt Tearsa... Shawn keeps saying "Thank you Aunt Tearsa for the animals book!"
He loves it!
