At this point I believe it is safe to say that everyone knows I was a paranoid freak when it came to new foods and choking hazards with Shawn. Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being cautious. Personally, I'd rather an over cautious new mom to one that is too lax.
As a second time Mom I admit to letting go of a few of my fears and letting Landon try new things a little earlier. When I say "earlier", I mean when the back of the label or the pediatrician says "Ok!"
To celebrate Landon's 10 month birthday I cautiously let him have a few Gerber healthy cheese snacks that his GiGi sent for Easter (sorry GiGi, I opened them early!) I know, I know, just call me Rebel Mom ;)

You smother us with cuddles...
If anyone ever tires of hearing stories about Shawn and his funny sayings and goofy actions... too bad ;) I love this kid to the extremes. Every day is a new adventure... and one that I gladly wake up and face each day to.
Tonight I was cleaning up in preparation for Uncle Cody & Aunt Lynda's arrival. The front door was open because it was rather hot from the oven running. A few huge gusts of wind swept through the house causing a ceiling tile to shake up and down. Shawn had completely forgotten about the cookies we were about to decorate. He totally freaked! I couldn't calm the poor lil guy down (even with the magical tissue that solves EVERYTHING!) Finally, after shutting the door and showing him it was just the wind, he gave up the fight and decided he wanted to talk about this powerful wind and the ceiling... for a good hour!

O my gosh! I just love the faces Landon was making :-D We gotta get him to teach Delilah to make some food faces (and to take a bottle!). Poor Shawn... I bet the wind really had him scared if a tissue couldn't solve it. I'm glad that you got him calmed down & had fun making Easter cookies with him :-)
