A birthday of the FIRST kind!

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Dear Landon! Happy Birthday to YOUUUUUUU!"

How is it possible that it has been exactly one year since the nurses said "Wow, look at all that red hair!! One year ago today I gave birth to a precious redheaded monkey that we call... our baby... our son! This has been a year of excitement and wonder as we ventured on as parents of two happy and rambunctious boys.

Landon, you have brought this family more smiles, more giggles, and more treasured memories than we could ever have asked for. We are blessed to have such a smart, funny, beautiful, and of course... sweet son. We love you so much, Monkey! - Mommy, Daddy, and big brother Shawn!

We had a special family day today... Walmart to pick out a birthday toy, then off to lunch where "Happy Birthday" was sung by the wait staff, then Pet Smart for Guinea Pig treats and bedding (for Linny), and last... home to open presents!

The phone he picked all by himself ;) And... 1st strawberries :)

A healthy meal to grow big and strong!

Escapee.

Rippin' it up... old style :)

A Chime Garden!

A monkey to add to the collection!

Music, music, music galore! Mommy will probably regret this one, but boy was it fun watching him open his first drum set!

What I do best... Clang Bang... and Clang some more!

"Take a picture Mommy"... then he looks away... silly boy.

I love you Monkey!

The Biggest Mama's Boy on the PLANET!!!

And such a wonderful sharer :)

Mmmmmm... I see why he loves it so much... it IS yummy!

My Amazing Boys!

I'll never forget these moments... ever.

The Birthday Boy!

Shawn loves the chime garden too :)

Playing in the loot.

Monkey Man.

Did I say I might regret this?

Then & Now.

Tonight Aunt Lizzy, Uncle John, and Delilah stopped by to visit Landon on his special day... he was very happy to see his "family!"

"I'm the birthday boy!"

Uncle John's in my band!

The BEST news ever!!!! Landon took his first step today!!!!!!!!!!!!

And everyone (but poor Daddy) was here to see it!!!!!!!!!!! All eyes were on him for the big move. He let go of the door, took a step, and reached for the couch. Of course, I caught it with my camera!!!!!!!!! Both boys first steps, and I captured 'um!!!!
Landon, Mommy is sooooo proud of you... on your 1st birthday to take such a milestone. You are growing so fast right before our very eyes. And for Aunt Lizzy and Uncle John to be witness to this special event... PRICELESS!
(now, just you watch, tuesday he'll be walking at Aunt Lindsey's Magical House of 1st's hehe)

Walking (w/ one handed help)

And using his new lion push cart from Nanny.

Modeling Aunt Lizzy's shoes... so stylin'!

I love my Uncle John!

Everyone loves the flower chimes ;)

Besties & Babes

We stopped by the pet store today to pick out fish as a special family outing with Shawn for his birthday (which we'll have to try again tomorrow since we needed the heater in the water running first... oopsie!)... and we picked up this treat for Linny.

New meaning of the term "Thumb Sucker."

My sweet heart of a niece <3

Linny LOVES carrots!

Two sweet hearts ;)

Up close & personal.

Shawn making Delilah laugh hysterically :) It was beyond amusing!

Sweet Heart Smooches... Love is in the air ;)

Happy 1st Birthday Landon- my sweet "nephew" :-D It looks like you all had a wonderful outing full of fun. I wish we could've been a part of the festivities but I'm just glad we got to come by & visit before monkey man went to bed :-D I can't believe we got to see his first step! That was so awesome! I can't imagine not being a part of the boys' lives & cherishing all these special moments!! :-)

Cody and I wish we could have been there today for Landon. We dont want to miss out on those boys lives anymore. That will never happen again. We have missed out on so much. THat will never happen again we promise. I am so glad we are not going let anything change how close Jon, you, me and Cody have gotten. We are going to cherish everyone moment with those boys. Liz is right who would want to loose out on the boys lives and cherishing all those special moments. I know we will never ever again.
