Lessons in Super Soaking

Last night Kendra and Aydan stopped buy for a visit to check out the new place (and for a play date/mommy time.) The boys were feisty as ever fighting over this, that, and everything else. The number one attention grabber was Shawn's new truck. Nan went a' yardsalin' the other day and picked up this find. Well, this treasure is quickly becoming a feuding ground... and headache causer for Mommy.

Ah, but over all the boys did have fun playing together... I guess its just the age where everything is "mine, mine, mine." And it was rather cute watching them haul each other around in this contraption.

Mr. Independent refusing baby food... and refusing to be fed.
Alas, the yard is completely fenced in! The first thing I had to do (after my doctors appointment for my stinkin' knee) was run to Lowes to pick up some sand... and then to walmart for a kiddie pool. Now Summer can really begin!!! Today was such a fun day I didn't want it to end. The weather was perfect... the kiddos were happy. We spent literally the ENTIRE day outside playing (well, other than dinner and sunscreen breaks.) We all love it here so much and feel so blessed to be here as a family.

Freedom! Fenced in yard to run like crazy in... and a refreshing pool to cool off afterwards.

Daddy snuck up on us with this old beast... his famous super soaker!

Now look what Daddy's got him started on... ;)

Then later this afternoon after his nap, Landon was given his first opportunity in a sandbox. I was really unsure on how this would go since he is rather fickle with water... but lo and behold... he LOVED it!!!

1st Touch of Sand

Sharing rather nicely :)

"This is pretty cool Mom!"

And the 1st sandbox experience just wouldn't be complete without a 1st mouthful of sand.

Keep that sand outta the button!

Wasn't me!

...and the temperature... JUST right!

Shawn was so sweet helping Mommy hold brother's hand.

Poking his own button like the Pillsbury Dough Boy LOL... now just hear that "Oh hoo hoo" squeal.

Tool Time.

After Landon went to bed it was time for some weeding and watering... Shawn volunteered his services with his rusty trusty Nemo watering can.

As he watered each plant he said "This is to help you grow." What a sweetie!

"Growing just right" he said :)

Now for an evening drive before bed.

Good night all!
