A few trips down memory last yesterday and this song was relentlessly playing over and over in my head. Shawn and I sat down to watch the DVD's that I (along with Liz and John) had made for him since his first Christmas. It was so fun watching his expressions as he went back in time to all the places he's been, the people he knows and loves, and the time when he was in my belly. This has been the first time that Shawn has questioned about "babies coming out of belly buttons." It was rather cute watching him point to the screen saying "I was in Mommy's belly button!"

A new, harder subject, that he has been talking about is Heaven. The other day he asked where Echo was and it was time for me to sit down and explain that she went up to Heaven and she was with God now. You can tell he is really curious about this and takes it as a serious subject. Tonight he came up to me again saying that "Heaven is in the sky and Echo's with God." I really look forward to all the questions and teaching moments with both boys. Yet another amazing part of being a parent :)

Hot days mean cool off time in the pool... even for Canon. This pup is one good swimmer and enjoyed playing "lawnmower" while we swam.
