Did I say lemons? More like killer grapefruits!

After the news of needing my wisdom teething removed immediately I asked (out loud), "Seriously, what else can go wrong?!" Yea, big mistake. Rewind to two days ago and my van breaking down, I couldn't believe my luck. They say things come in threes... well, a big fat lemon fell on my plate yet again today. Yesterday Jon picked up our van, paid the hefty bill and assumed we were good to go. Yea, never assume... the freaking thing broke down on me AGAIN today! I am serious, how much in one week is going to get thrown at me?

Yes, I did call the dealership and insist that they fork over the money to have it towed. There is no reason for this nonsense. This van is not an old van. It should be running darn near perfect after all the trips to have "senors" replaced. When I pick it up I get the same run around... "It was a knock sensor... it was a crank sensor... sensor sensor sensor!"

With all the bad luck at least a shred of good luck is tucked in there. Every time this has happened I am with friends who are following me to our destination. I can't say it enough... our friends really are our family. We have some AMAZING sets of friends in our lives, and we owe them the world over. Lindsey was with us today for our breakdown (with her 3 kids yet to boot.) We called Liz and John and they helped us get all 4 car seats in order in Lindsey's vehicle. Poor Liz is going to drop me like a hot potato one of these days saying "This friendship is too much work." Thankfully ALL 6 (Riley, Owen, Shawn, Landon, Connor, & Delilah) of the kiddos handled the high heat and over an hour and a half in the parking lot rather well. One big kid, two toddlers, and three babies on hot pavement... not good. Sunscreen surely was our best friend today.

Lindsey and I's intent for today was a nice relaxing picnic with our 5 kiddos. We did manage to have at least that before all of the chaos erupted.

I am beyond glad that I left my good camera gear at home and only brought the point and shoot for our outing!

The picnic.
