I, Mudder... You,?

Last night I was sitting here working on a photo shoot and all of a sudden the door to the upstairs flew open! It startled me bad enough to squeak out an "Ah!" Shawn comes running over to me. "Hi Mommy. Hi Mommy. Hi Mommy." All I could do was stare at him because I thought he'd been asleep for quite some time. He continued with the "Hi Mommy's" a few more times in a robot-like voice and then he starts on... "Lets have a play date! Lets go on a picnic!" Again, he's still speaking rather roboticly. After the shock wore off and Shawn was inches from my face saying these things I blurted out "Shawn! What did I tell you about getting out of bed!" His face dropped, he turned around, "I'll get in bed, Mommy."

Yea, that was weird... even for my kid.

Shawn has rather recently developed a fear of the wind. If the doors are open and it creates any movement or sound in the house Shawn starts getting upset. Today the front door was open and it made the door to the upstairs shudder a bit. Shawn insisted that there were "Ghosts" behind the "possessed" door. Where he got "ghosts" from I'll never be able to tell you. We keep reassuring him its just the wind... but according to Shawn, we have Ghosts living with us.

Happy Mother's Day!!! Jon and the boys sure made it special for me this year. I woke up to a beautiful card and a rather strange boyd's bear with a snowman on it. (Yea, my first thought was... um, its spring!") Then downstairs Shawn had another beautiful boyds bear waiting for me (this one was season appropriate.) Jon explained that he got one for each season so I could leave one out now and one out in the winter (thoughtful guy, huh?!) Then for my next gift... the complete "My-so-called Life series!" Yea, I'm a dork, but I LOVED that show! The best part of all... spending the entire day with my three guys! Shawn has been saying "Happy Mudder's Day" to me since I woke up... and its the sweetest thing to hear! I am one blessed Mama with two gorgeous and amazing boys... and one very wonderful husband!

The card on the right (from the boys) is HILARIOUS! Especially since we call Landon our little monkey.

Yesterday Liz came over to watch the boys for me while I was working on a shoot. We exchanged our Mother's Day gifts then and this was the awesome surprise she made... Isn't it beautiful!?!?! She made it herself after coming up with the idea to make these when she was looking at ordering me one for Mother's Day and saw how outrageous the prices were.
