Feliz Navidad

Last night we had our Christmas dinner with our best friends, Liz & John, and their daughter, Delilah. Since we celebrate Christmas eve and day with our respective families and feast on traditional foods, when we get together for pre-holiday meals we opt for non-traditional foods. This Christmas Mexican was our dinner of choice. Tacos, quesadillas, roll ups, dip, refried beans, and Spanish rice decorated our table for the Williams/Rawlings Family get-together.

After our meal, we gathered in the living room for the kiddos to open their Christmas presents. It was so fun this year with Shawn being at the age where Christmas is becoming something he can comprehend (and able to open presents with ease.) We are all looking forward to next year with Landon and Delilah running around as well.

As we were exchanging gifts with the kiddos, Liz pulls out a package wrapped with my name on it. We had agreed on just gifting with the little ones, so I was surprised at the gesture. Here a few months ago we were talking about books we had as children, in particular, Bibles. I was telling her about this Bible that my Great Grandparents had for me that was gold with red lettering on the cover. We come to find out that we had the exact same children's Bible. Fast forward to last night, as I torn the edge of the wrapping paper I am drawn to a familiar golden cover... only to find, it is the very same Children's Bible that had been lost in the move and selling of my Great Grandparents property when they died. I could not believe she had found another copy of this (as it is not exactly a popular version of a Bible.) Thank you so much Liz for that beautiful gesture. It absolutely means the world to me! Now our children will be reading out of the same Bibles we had as children.

What a good big brother helping Landon open his gift.

Shawn playing with his new cookie jar shape sorter.

Landon and his new crawly ball (this thing is so neat!)

Not quite sure what to think of his Uncle John yet ;)

An attempt at a photograph with all 3 kiddos. Poor Delilah, the monkey in the middle!

Landon nibbling on Delilahs' dress... getting fresh already!

The cutest couple around!

Liz and I could not stop laughing at Landon wanting to get feisty with Delilah.

Uncle John's going to have to watch out for this one ;)
