This morning before I left for the hospital I picked Shawn up in my arms and asked him if he was going to be good for his Aunt Lizzy today. (She has been watching the kiddos this week for me to spend time with my grandmother and help my grandfather out.) Shawn smiled and answered with a "Yeaaaa." I told him to listen to his Auntie and "Be Good." My little toddler wrapped his arms around me and said the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. "Mom, I love you."
***A VERY special Thank You to Liz and John for being there for our family this week. Watching the kiddos and easing our minds through this time has been a huge blessing. You two are in the books under "friendship, compassion, and selflessness." We love you all so much and are so thankful to have you in our lives. We hope to be able to repay you for everything you've done and be there for you in return.***

Aww!! I'm going to cry! You know we'll always be here for you & your appreciation is payment enough.
Isn't wonderful after telling Shawn you love him all those times to hear it back? I can just imagine the joy and I can't wait to hear Delilah say it someday. Although she can hold off on the talking for awhile ;-)
Bugs are scary- just like the one you killed yesterday & *gasp* that turned you in to a litter bug! You woman on the wild side you ;-D
