The Unscratchable Itch

The itch has been scratched. Well, most of the itch. Ok, maybe just the surface of the itch. But there definitely was some scratching done. My old Canon friend has gone into earlier retirement as the newest upgrade has arrived. May I proudly present to you works from my new hard & black besties... Mr. 50D paired with Mrs. L Series. (Like I said, just the surface of the want list!)

All joking aside. With a little luck, loads of determination, and a lot of hard work this dream is working its way into a beautiful reality. Here are a few... ok, tons... of test shots with the new gear.

The thumb still has a place secured in his mouth.

Monkey Man's Monkey Pile

Inquisitive to a capital "I"

This is one of my favs from the 1st day of try outs.
Tearsa, Tearsa, Tearsa. My beautiful, caring, and floofy sister (yes, she knows what floofy means) spent the entire weekend with her adoring nephews and amazingly talented older sister. (I can hear her laughing now!) What blog would be complete with out Aunt/Nephew picture-rama?

This blue horsey from Aunt T.T. tastes almost as good as I do!

Very obsessed with "Whinny"

Shawn, not wanting to corporate for picture time (nothing new there, right?) One day he will love the camera again ;)

The escape artist leaving his damage trail... poor Aunt Tearsa.

This little guy is going to be awfully sad in the a.m. when he realizes Aunt T.T. went home :(

Blue!

Caution: Do not try this at home. Flying objects ahead.

Down time with an amazing Aunt & friend.

Fred Flintstone feet. Yea, there is a reason his middle name is Fredrick!

He sure is my Little Hero... for Always.

Mommy said "Time Out!"... but she didn't specify where.

3 in a row.

Anyone who knows me well knows that i HATE feet. Adult feet that is. For me to actually take this picture took will power and strength that I never knew existed. Yuck!

Now that we've seen her feet, here is the amazingly wonderful... awesome beyond words... beauty radiating inside and out... my sister... Tearsa B.

Even though we didn't grow up together (long story) we act as if we were raised side by side. Blood runs deep here.

"I saw Shawn in this thing, so I had to try out the ol' blue box for myself."

Yea, these baby blues get me what I want... on a regular basis.

Ohhh MaMa... Oohhh MaMa. (Repeatedly)

What-chu lookin' at?

1st Yogurt (as fed by Aunt T.T.)

This has to have been the most amazing part of our weekend. Just before Tearsa heads for home she whips out the ol' horn. Shawn was fascinated! Watching the two of them interact like this was just a magical memory in the making. Not only was my camera in hand, but the camcorder as well.

Excellent teacher.

He even corrected his ombature for a brief moment to make a joyous sound.

Two Tone

Aunt Sallina, the bottle giver. Shawn was so enthralled by his youngest Aunt that he insisted she watch him PPOTP. (pee pee on the potty)

Gmaw Lori... a grandmother by name... love by us all.

Aunt Sallina's boots are made for walkin'

That concludes today's picture fest. It was an awesome weekend with some serious sister bonding time. Before they left a good ol' butt smacking session was in order. The 3 of us had to call a truce via handshake so no one got seriously hurt. Reliving tonight's "Three Sister" moment makes me question wanting a third kiddo... but not enough to change my mind ;)
