Tonight's blog may seem like a jumbled mess... but I'm in a rambley mood... so here goes!
First: Today was an amazing family day! We woke up this morning, got ready for church, and took Shawn to his second Children's Service. The first one (if you can remember back to then) didn't go so hot. This second venture was in a completely different league. Through praise and worship he was a bit rowdy and needed a few warnings. On our way over to the children's side I told him "Shawn, you'd better behave or you will be in serious trouble and get a time out! Are you going to listen?" He replied, "Lets go home." Smartie Pants! Fortunately, Shawn behaved like a champ for the helpers at the service. He played nicely with the other kiddos... and even made me a Mother's Day card with his hand prints! After it was all said and done I said to Jon "Wow, maybe he will be suitable for school someday!" Peeps is always joking (lovingly of course) to us that his teachers will all want to retire the minute he steps foot in a class room with his "rambunctious ways."
So many firsts... such a short day: For our short stack that is! Mr. Landon had a few tasty morsels to nibble on at lunch this afternoon. Mommy The Brave has loosened up on the whole food thing much better with kiddo #2 and decided to sneak in a few spaghetti noodles and a bite of mashed taters. It was hilarious watching Landon play with those long strands of pasta!
Then... for the best first of all (for today)... Landon said his actual first word! No, not one of those baby babble firsts like MaMa, DaDa, LaLa, etc..but a word! We were leaving Liz and Johns (after a very relaxed and enjoyable visit... thanks again for inviting us over... we all had a blast) and Shawn was yelling "Hello!" to me across the parking lot where Jon was with him. I yelled "Hello" back to him and right after that Landon chimed in with his own "Hello!" My baby boy said his first word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we had a "Book" from Shawn (our book worm) and a "Hello" from Landon (our social butterfly!)
After realizing that the boys birthdays are coming up in about a month the ol' tears started welling up as I thought about my baby turning three and my not so newborn turning one. I plugged in the ol' external hard drive and reminisced through pics over the past three years. I'm sure I'll have a much longer "walk down memory lane" closer to their birthdays... but I couldn't help but to post a few pics of my precious sons from a time not that long ago. The weeks and months go so quickly... and I can honestly say... I cherish every moment I am blessed with... every smile... hug... cry... and sneeze.
Oh... you may wonder where the title Fansome and Pangy came from: This morning Shawn comes up to me with two puppy stuffed animals. I asked him what their names were. Yea, Fansome and Pangy... seriously... I'm so proud of my creative lil bugger!
***the pictures of Shawn below are all taken at roughly the same age that Landon is now.***

My awesome sisters Sallina and Tearsa with Shawn and I.

Owen and Shawn... look how "not so" little they were! Lindsey got a picture out of the boys yesterday and it sparked me to go looking through them. I can't believe how much they've grown and how close of friends they've become.

Shawn and Pap. Look at those curls! Now that they are finally coming back, I'm not chopping them off for a while!
Shawn's 1st ice cream cone (and trip to knoebles.) Speaking of... GiGi: We can't wait for your visit to take the boys for their first trip this year!

OMG I cant wait til their birthday party. I miss you guys so much. We are looking forward to see all of you. We are still thinking of things to get the boys. I love looking at the old pictures. Wish we were close back then as we are now.
i love these pictures :) it seems like forever since they were both that young.
Love you!
I just cannot believe how fast they have both grown. I always knew time went fast but I never knew how fast until we had Delilah. We'll just have to have a few more LMAO ;-)
